Scalp
micropigmentation

Scalp micropigmentation, also known as hair tattooing, is a life changing treatment that can hide the impact of standard hair loss, alopecia and hair transplant scars. The highly detailed procedure gives the appearance of natural looking hairs through the highly advanced method of cosmetic pigmentation, which uses microneedles to tattoo pigment into the scalp. With no surgery, lotion, or pills needed, few other hair loss solutions offer results that are as immediate, permanent, hassle free, or as cost effective as scalp micropigmentation. This is the perfect way for both men and women suffering with hair loss to restore confidence in themselves, the results are incredible.

Scalp micropigmentation for men and women:

This treatment is ideal for helping men with thinning hair or baldness, to either give the impression of more hair density or the stimulation of micro hairs that gives the appearance of a close buzz cut on a bald head. Specialist equipment and techniques are used to inject pigment into the scalp at micro-level, to emulate the appearance of real hair follicles. The treatment can also be used for women with similar hair issues, the procedure can help make thinning hair appear more dense.

How does the procedure work?

Every treatment is tailored to each client’s exact skin colour and type and you will be consulted on the type of look you want, whether it be the appearance of shaved or short hair, or denser locks, in order to achieve results that are bespoke to your needs.

Frequently asked questions:

How long does the treatment take?

Usually between 2-3 sessions, depending on the size of the area that needs treating, each session can take between 2-5 hours.

How long does it last?

Clients should expect the treatment to typically last between 4-6 years. After that time, clients may experience some slight fading, which they can come back in for a quick touch up for. This cosmetic solution is permanent, but it can be tweaked as the years go on. Some clients don’t need to ever come back for touch ups after one procedure, but some are come back every 3-5 years. The results vary. We offer to-ups for £350.

Will it change colour like a normal tattoo?

Our pigment is designed to replicate the same colour of short cut natural hair. The pigment contains no additional colourants or additives and will only lighten, not discolour, over an extended time.

Does it hurt?

Not nearly as much as you think it will! The pain is minimal and less than traditional tattoos. We can definitely tell you that procedure isn’t without discomfort, but any pain involved is generally far less than our clients expect. After your session, you won’t experience any further discomfort. Pain levels vary from person to person, but on average our clients rate discomfort between 0-2 on scale from 0-10.

Will it work on grey hair?

Yes, grey hair does not appear grey because the hair root itself is darker. Hair only looks grey when it gets longer. However, we use a grey-scale pigment that can be adjusted in shade to blend with lighter hair tones.
